By accessing or using CrowAbout ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CrowAbout is a QR code generation platform that enables businesses to create branded, trackable QR codes. The Service includes:

Dynamic QR codes with editable destinations
Static QR types (contact card, Wi-Fi, email, phone, SMS, plain text)
Logo, colour and style customisation
Scan analytics, including device and approximate location
PNG and SVG export
Subscription management

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the security of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Point QR codes at illegal, harmful, deceptive, or offensive content
Use the Service for spam, malware, or phishing
Impersonate any person or entity, or infringe others' trademarks or copyright in logos you upload
Change a code's destination to mislead people who have already scanned it
Violate any applicable laws or regulations (including UK GDPR)
Interfere with or disrupt the Service
Resell or redistribute the Service without permission

5. Your Content

You are responsible for the destinations your QR codes point to and any logos or images you upload. You confirm you have the right to use them and that they do not infringe the rights of others. You are responsible for compliance with applicable laws, including UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

The number of QR codes you can manage and the scan analytics history available to you are determined by your subscription tier. Scans are unlimited on all tiers.

7. Refunds

We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us at support@crowabout.co.uk within 14 days of the charge.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, including the scan-redirect endpoint that resolves your dynamic QR codes. We are not liable for losses arising from downtime.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by CrowAbout. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CROWABOUT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CrowAbout from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
